Nights in Rodanthe is a 2008 romantic drama directed by George C. Wolfe and based on Nicholas Sparks’ novel. Diane Lane stars as Adrienne Willis, a woman dealing with marital troubles and family conflict who takes refuge at a small coastal inn in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. When Dr. Paul Flanner, played by Richard Gere, arrives as the only guest during an approaching storm, the two find solace in each other’s company. Over one transformative weekend, their unexpected connection becomes a romance that will shape the rest of their lives. The film also features Christopher Meloni, Viola Davis, and Becky Ann Baker.
