Ben Stiller stars in this 2006 family comedy from Twentieth Century Fox about Larry Daley, a struggling man who takes a job as a night watchman at the Museum of Natural History in New York City. On his first shift, Larry discovers that an ancient pharaoh’s tablet causes all the museum exhibits to come alive after dark. He must navigate the chaos created by Mayans, Roman gladiators, cowboys, a Neanderthal, Attila the Hun, and a Tyrannosaurus rex, with help from a wax figure of President Teddy Roosevelt. Directed by Shawn Levy and featuring Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Bill Cobbs, and Carla Gugino, the film blends adventure and comedy as Larry works to stop a dangerous plot and save the museum.
