Ben Stiller stars as Larry Daley, a struggling inventor who takes a job as a night watchman at the Museum of Natural History in New York City. When an ancient pharaoh’s tablet causes all the museum exhibits to come alive after dark, Larry finds himself caught in the middle of chaos as Mayans, Roman gladiators, cowboys, a Neanderthal, Attila the Hun, and a Tyrannosaurus rex emerge from their displays. With guidance from a wax figure of President Teddy Roosevelt, Larry must navigate the bedlam and uncover a sinister plot threatening the museum itself. Directed by Shawn Levy and based on Milan Trenc’s 1993 children’s book, this 2006 live-action comedy fantasy also features Carla Gugino and Dick Van Dyke.
