Movie / Show Details

The Nativity is a 2010 BBC television drama that retells the birth of Christ through the eyes of Mary, portrayed by Tatiana Maslany. The film follows a young woman whose life transforms when she discovers she will bear the son of God, then journeys with her husband Joseph, a carpenter played by Peter Capaldi, to Bethlehem. As their faith is tested by the challenges of their time, shepherds receive divine visions and astronomers track celestial signs, all converging toward a miraculous event that seems impossible yet destined to occur.

This two-hour drama on one DVD comes from Red Planet Pictures and presents the biblical story through a humanistic, grounded perspective set against the historical tensions of first-century Judea. Art Malik rounds out the cast in this thoughtful exploration of one of history’s most significant moments. Own this used copy and experience the story for yourself.
