Sidney Lumet directed this 1974 mystery thriller based on Agatha Christie’s novel, adapted for the screen by Anthony Shaffer and Paul Dehn. Albert Finney stars as the meticulous detective Hercule Poirot, who finds himself aboard the snowbound Orient Express in 1935 when a murder occurs in his sleeping car. With an ensemble cast including Anthony Perkins, Ingrid Bergman, Jacqueline Bisset, Jean-Pierre Cassel, and John Gielgud, Poirot must unravel an intricate whodunit and identify the killer of an American millionaire before local authorities arrive.
