Murder on the Home Front is a 2013 British crime-mystery miniseries directed by Geoffrey Sax and written by David Kane. Set during the London Blitz of 1940, the story follows Dr. Lennox Collins, a pathologist pioneering new forensic techniques, as he partners with others to investigate murders taking place amid the chaos of wartime bombing. With the blackout providing cover for criminal activity, Collins must convince skeptical police that his innovative methods-including chemical analysis and psychological study-can solve cases others dismiss. The cast includes Patrick Kennedy, Emerald Fennell, Amanda Fairbank-Hynes, James Fleet, Iain McKee, and Jake Curran. Based on true events, the series explores how a forensic science pioneer worked to bring modern investigative approaches to a world resistant to change.
This is a single-disc DVD release from PBS Video with a runtime of two hours and an IMDb rating of 6.6. A used copy gives you access to this edgy period crime drama at a fraction of retail cost.
