Monk is a comedy-drama series that premiered in 2004, following Adrian Monk, a brilliant homicide detective whose obsessive-compulsive disorder and numerous phobias make him an unconventional investigator. Suspended from the force years earlier due to his erratic behavior, Monk has been managing his condition with the support of Sharona Fleming, a nurse who shares his fascination with solving mysteries. When a series of unsolved murders connected to a local political candidate emerges, his former captain calls him back into action, giving Monk the chance to return to detective work while battling his deep-seated fears of germs, vehicles, heights, crowds, and countless other triggers.

This premiere episode comes on one DVD in Not Rated format from the series starring Bitty Schram, Hector Elizondo, Jason Gray-Stanford, and others, directed by Daniel Dratch and Michael Nankin. Grab this used copy and own a piece of television history at a fraction of retail cost.
