Medium is a supernatural crime drama that premiered in 2008, starring Patricia Arquette as a wife and mother who possesses psychic abilities. Based on the life of real-world medium Allison DuBois, the series follows her as she uses visions of the deceased to assist a district attorney in solving crimes while balancing her responsibilities to her family, including her supportive husband (Jake Weber) and two daughters (Sofia Vassilieva and Maria Lark). In season four, Allison’s extraordinary powers become public knowledge, triggering serious consequences for her and those closest to her. The season also features a guest appearance by Anjelica Huston as a private investigator who strikes an unusual bargain with Allison.
