London Trombone Sound is a 1995 instrumental album featuring 16 trombones drawn from seven London orchestras, conducted by Abigail Newman and Adam Woolf. With arrangements by Eric Crees, principal trombone of the London Symphony Orchestra, the disc explores the trombone’s versatility across a range of material, from classical orchestral works to popular melodies and jazz interpretations.

This CD was released on Cala Records and includes a spectacular finale featuring 76 trombones performing Meredith Wilson’s 76 Trombones, representing one of the largest assemblies of trombone players ever recorded. The program spans from a playful take on the Pink Panther theme to recognizable classical pieces and rock arrangements. Grab this used copy and experience the full, resonant sound of the trombone section.
