Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band’s Live On arrived in 1999 as another showcase for the young guitarist’s blues-rock prowess. Following the massive success of Trouble Is…, which had achieved platinum status and dominated the Blues charts, Shepherd continued refining his signature sound with assured guitar work and a tight rhythm section. Vocalist Noah Hunt delivers mature performances across a mix of energetic rockers and slower, sweeter tracks, while the band’s full, crunchy guitar tone remains front and center throughout the album.

This CD contains 10 tracks including “In 2 Deep,” “Shotgun Blues,” “Last Goodbye,” and “Oh Well,” running approximately 41 minutes total. The album earned RIAA certification for 500,000 units sold, cementing Shepherd’s place in the blues-rock landscape of the late 1990s. Grab this used copy and own a high-energy effort from one of the era’s most compelling young musicians.
