Killing Kennedy is a 2013 drama-documentary directed by Nelson McCormick that examines the parallel lives of President John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald from 1959 through the assassination in Dallas in November 1963. Based on Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s non-fiction book, the film follows a wealthy, ambitious young man’s rise to the presidency during escalating Cold War tensions and organized crime activity in America, while simultaneously tracking a disillusioned former Marine whose path will eventually intersect with the president’s, forever altering the course of history. Rob Lowe stars as President Kennedy, with Michelle Trachtenberg and other cast members rounding out the ensemble.
