Breach is a 2007 drama directed by Billy Ray that draws from one of the most significant security breaches in U.S. intelligence history. Ryan Phillippe stars as Eric O’Neill, an FBI surveillance expert assigned to work alongside Robert Hanssen, a decorated operative played by Chris Cooper. O’Neill soon learns his true assignment is to gather evidence that Hanssen is a double agent. As O’Neill navigates a dangerous game of espionage, he discovers that nothing and no one can be trusted, leading to a tense cat-and-mouse dynamic between the two men.
