Gilligan’s Island is a 1960s sitcom created by Sherwood Schwartz that follows seven castaways stranded on a remote island after a shipwreck. Starring Alan Hale Jr., Bob Denver, Dawn Wells, Jim Backus, and Natalie Schafer, the show chronicles the group’s repeated attempts to escape their predicament, which consistently fall apart due to bickering and comedic mishaps.
