Funny Face is a 1957 musical comedy from Paramount Pictures directed by Stanley Donen. Fred Astaire plays a fashion photographer who spots Audrey Hepburn, a quiet bookstore clerk in Greenwich Village, and convinces her to travel to Paris as a model. Once there, Hepburn’s character finds herself thrust into the glamorous world of high fashion while developing feelings for Astaire’s character, all while learning to embrace her newfound confidence. Kay Thompson, Michel Auclair, Robert Flemyng, and Ruta Lee round out the cast in this charming romance set against the backdrop of 1950s Paris style.
