Evening Shade is a comedy series that premiered in 1990, starring Burt Reynolds as Wood Newton, a former professional football player who returns to his small Arkansas hometown to coach the local high school football team. As Wood settles back into small-town life, his wife Ava launches a campaign to become the town’s prosecuting attorney while managing her own life changes.
