Dream Horse is a 2020 British biographical drama directed by Euros Lyn and written by Neil McKay. Set in South Wales around the year 2000, the film follows Jan Vokes, a bartender and animal lover who inspires her struggling mining community to pool their resources and purchase a broodmare. The resulting foal, Dream Alliance, becomes an unexpected champion racehorse, and the animal’s unlikely rise through the racing ranks offers hope and unity to the small town. Damian Lewis, Joanna Page, Karl Johnson, and Lynda Baron round out the cast alongside Alan David and Anthony O’Donnell.
