Released in 1987, Dragnet is a comedy crime film directed by Tom Mankiewicz and starring Dan Aykroyd, Christopher Plummer, Dabney Coleman, Alexandra Paul, Elizabeth Ashley, and Harry Morgan. The story follows two LAPD detectives with clashing personalities-the rigid, rule-bound Joe Friday and his easygoing partner Streebek-as they team up to investigate a string of absurd robberies across Los Angeles, from a stolen bat to a massive snake and a lion’s mane.

Universal Pictures released this PG-13 film on a single DVD disc with a runtime of one hour and forty-six minutes. Aykroyd and the ensemble cast deliver comedic performances that honor the classic police procedural drama while adding modern humor and action. Grab this used copy and enjoy a lighthearted mystery without the new release price tag.
