Dragnet 1968: Volume 1 is a crime drama series that returned in 1967 after a seven-year absence, following LAPD Detectives Sgt. Joe Friday and Officer Bill Gannon as they investigate crimes throughout Los Angeles. Created by and starring Jack Webb, who also directed and produced, this revival of the influential police procedural was retooled to reflect contemporary issues of the late 1960s, including counterculture movements, drug use, and student unrest. Filmed in color, the series brought a fresh visual approach to the procedural format.

This single-disc DVD release from Mark VII Ltd. contains the first ten consecutive episodes from Season Two, which originally aired from September 1967 through March 1968, with a total runtime of four hours and a TV-14 rating.
