Doctor Who’s fourth series, which aired in 2008, reunites the Doctor with Donna Noble, his spirited companion from a previous Christmas special. Played by Catherine Tate alongside David Tennant’s Time Lord, Donna joins the Doctor on adventures across time and space as they face alien threats and historical perils. The season takes viewers to Pompeii during the volcanic eruption of AD 79, into a murder mystery with Agatha Christie, to the home world of the mysterious Ood, and brings back encounters with old enemies and familiar faces from the Doctor’s past.

This BBC America DVD release contains all six discs of the complete fourth series, totaling over eleven hours of runtime and rated TV-PG. Directed by Douglas Mackinnon, Graeme Harper, and James Strong, the season features standout episodes including the two-part “Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead,” the claustrophobic “Midnight,” and the climactic three-episode finale. Grab this used copy and experience one of the show’s most celebrated seasons at home.
