Doctor Who: The Ambassadors of Death is a 1970 BBC science-fiction adventure serial starring Jon Pertwee as the Doctor, alongside Caroline John, Nicholas Courtney, and John Abineri. When astronauts from Mars Probe 7 go missing and a rescue mission encounters unexpected complications, the Doctor is called in to investigate. His inquiry reveals a dangerous mystery involving alien contact and a threat that extends far beyond space, with Cold War anxieties and the specter of global invasion looming over the investigation.

This two-disc DVD set contains all seven original 25-minute episodes of the serial, restored with consistent color throughout while maintaining the distinctive visual character of early 1970s Doctor Who production. Rated NR and produced by the BBC, the story unfolds primarily on Earth as officials at the space center grapple with whether an actual alien invasion is underway. You can own this engaging chapter of the Pertwee era as a used physical media purchase from us.
