Doc Martin is a British comedy-drama series starring Martin Clunes as the titular character, a former London surgeon who relocates to a picturesque village in Cornwall after developing an aversion to blood. Despite his medical brilliance, Martin’s blunt and tactless personality creates friction with the townspeople, though he gradually earns their respect. His romantic interest in Louisa Glasson, a local schoolteacher played by Caroline Catz, becomes complicated when her ex-boyfriend returns to town, intensifying the doctor’s already volatile temperament. The ensemble cast includes Ian McNeice, Joe Absolom, and Katherine Parkinson.
