Dirty Harry is a 1971 crime thriller directed by Don Siegel and starring Clint Eastwood as Inspector Harry Callahan, a tough San Francisco detective on the hunt for a dangerous serial killer called Scorpio, played by Andy Robinson. When the killer begins sniping at innocent victims and leaving ransom demands at crime scenes, Callahan takes on the case with his new partner, played by Reni Santoni, engaging in a tense cat-and-mouse game with the murderer. The film also features Harry Guardino, James Nolan, John Larch, and John Mitchum in supporting roles, with a screenplay by Harry Julian Fink, Rita M. Fink, and Dean Riesner.
