Dawn Of A New Century

CD Details

Secret Garden, the Irish-Norwegian duo of violinist Fionuala Sherry and keyboardist Rolf Lovland, created this ambient electronic album blending lush string orchestrations with layered vocals and modern classical sensibilities. The project draws from Celtic influences and downtempo production, crafting instrumental and vocal pieces that balance orchestral grandeur with intimate arrangements. Karen Matheson of Capercaillie contributes a haunting vocal performance on “Prayer,” while tracks like “Children of the River” incorporate Asian-influenced elements and cinematic scope, and “Lore of the Loom” sweeps through orchestral landscapes evoking both Irish and Norwegian traditions.

This CD was released on the Philips label and contains twelve tracks including Moongate, Prayer, Elan, Dreamcatcher, Sona, In Our Tears, Children of the River, Evensong, Lore of the Loom, Aria, Divertimento, and Aquarell.
