Crash is the 1996 alternative rock album by Dave Matthews Band, released on RCA Records. The record showcases the band’s signature blend of improvisational musicianship with more accessible pop-rock sensibilities, featuring frontman Dave Matthews alongside his ensemble. Standout tracks include the hit single “Crash Into Me,” along with “So Much To Say,” “Two Step,” and “#41,” which demonstrate the group’s range from introspective moments to energetic, free-form explorations. Producer Steve Lillywhite brings a polished production style to the album’s mix of soothing instrumentation-flute, acoustic guitar, and six-string bass-layered with deeper emotional complexity.

This is a compact disc edition of Crash, containing all 11 tracks across its full runtime. The album pairs the band’s improvisational live energy with carefully crafted studio arrangements, revealing both the intensity of Matthews’ vocal delivery and the group’s willingness to experiment with song structure. Owning this used CD lets you experience a key moment in the band’s catalog without the new price tag.
