Nia Vardalos, who wrote and stars in this 2004 comedy, plays one half of a pair of best friends whose dreams of show business stardom hit a snag when they witness a mob killing. Forced to flee Chicago to Los Angeles, Connie and Carla devise an unlikely disguise: they go undercover as drag queens performing in dinner theaters. Toni Collette co-stars alongside Vardalos, with David Duchovny and Debbie Reynolds rounding out the cast in this crime-comedy directed by Michael Lembeck.

Universal Pictures released this full screen DVD edition with a runtime of 98 minutes and a PG-13 rating. The single disc includes deleted scenes, bonus musical performances, outtakes, a making-of featurette, and a segment on the film’s drag costuming. Grab this used copy and enjoy a fun adventure at a fraction of the original retail cost.
