Clerks - The Animated Series Uncensored

Movie / Show Details

Kevin Smith brings his indie film Clerks to animated life in this 2000 comedy series created for television. The show follows Dante and Randal, two convenience store clerks who pass their shifts making fun of pop culture and lamenting their circumstances, while Jay and Silent Bob peddle fireworks outside. The series mines humor from various scenarios including high school reunions, cooler malfunctions, and run-ins with rival entrepreneur Leonardo Leonardo, all while delivering pop-culture parodies and celebrity guest appearances.

This two-disc DVD set contains all six episodes with a runtime of two hours and eleven minutes, rated TV-PG. The cast includes Brian O’Halloran, Alec Baldwin, April Winchell, and Charles Barkley, with direction by Chris Bailey, Nicholas Filippi, and Steve Loter. Though the network television version faced censorship constraints, this uncensored release restores the edgier material that defined Smith’s original film.
