Bytes is a 1993 electronic album from Black Dog Production, a London-based collective that blended techno and IDM into a distinctive sound. The group, featuring Ken Downie, Ed Handey, and Andy Turner, combined Downie’s interest in Egyptian and Arabic musical influences with sophisticated production techniques. Rather than adhering to conventional club-oriented structures, the album layers repetitive, atmospheric textures with intricate polyrhythms and abstract melodies, creating music that draws from jazz sensibilities while remaining grounded in electronic experimentation.

This single-disc CD was released on TVT and contains eleven tracks spanning over an hour, including Object Orient, Caz, Carceres Ex Novum, Focus Mel, Olivine, Clan (Mongol Hordes), Yamemm, Fight The Hits, Merck, Jauqq, and 3/4 Heart. Add this piece of early 1990s electronic music to your collection at a used price.
