Brooklyn’s Finest is a 2009 crime drama directed by Antoine Fuqua that follows three NYPD officers from the 65th precinct in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood. Richard Gere plays a veteran cop nearing retirement, Don Cheadle portrays an undercover officer whose allegiances become increasingly complicated, and Ethan Hawke is a young corrupt cop whose moral compromises drive much of the film’s tension. Wesley Snipes rounds out the cast as a formidable gangster. As their separate lives intersect amid the gritty Van Dyke housing projects, these officers must navigate the blurred line between law enforcement and corruption, leading to an intense climax.
