Richard Kelly directs this 2009 sci-fi thriller starring Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple whose lives take a dark turn when a mysterious stranger delivers an ornate wooden box to their home. The box comes with a simple but sinister proposition: press the button inside, and they receive one million dollars. The catch is devastating-someone they don’t know will die as a result. With only 24 hours to make their decision, Norma and Arthur must confront an impossible moral dilemma and face the supernatural consequences of their choice. Frank Langella, Holmes Osborne, and James Rebhorn round out the cast in this adaptation of Richard Matheson’s concept.
