Blade is a 1998 action-horror film directed by Stephen Norrington and starring Wesley Snipes as the title character, a half-vampire warrior born after his mother was attacked by a vampire. Blade has dedicated his life to hunting and eliminating vampires, armed with silver weapons and an arsenal of guns. He faces off against Deacon Frost, a cunning vampire played by Stephen Dorff who believes vampires should rule the world and view humans as food. Kris Kristofferson rounds out the cast as Whistler, Blade’s tough and cynical mentor. The film blends martial arts action with horror elements, drawing inspiration from Hong Kong cinema and anime.

This single-disc DVD release runs two hours and carries an R rating for violence and language. New Line Cinema’s action-packed thriller showcases Snipes at his physical best, delivering fluid fight choreography and impressive stunt work throughout.
