Beyond a Reasonable Doubt is a 2009 crime thriller directed by Peter Hyams and starring Amber Tamblyn, Jesse Metcalfe, Joel David Moore, Michael Douglas, and Orlando Jones. This remake of Fritz Lang’s 1956 film noir follows a novelist who begins investigating a corrupt district attorney, only to become the victim of an elaborate courtroom frame-up. As the protagonist digs deeper into his target’s criminal activities, he discovers that his own pursuit of justice has made him the perfect patsy in a carefully orchestrated legal trap.
