Bark, George… and More Doggie Tails is an animated collection from the Scholastic Video Collection featuring stories by Jules Feiffer, Lisa Desimini, Gene Zion, Mercer Mayer, Ezra Jack Keats, and Marjorie Flack. The main story follows George, a dog who meows, oinks, and makes every sound except a bark, and the veterinarian’s attempts to help him find his voice. Additional tales include Dot the Fire Dog exploring what firefighters do, a spotted dog named Harry trying to lose his hand-knit sweater, a boy and his frog, a child learning to whistle for his dog, and a mischievous Scottish terrier’s adventures.

This single DVD runs 53 minutes and is rated for ages 3 to 9, combining gentle humor with educational themes perfect for preschool and early elementary viewers. Narrated by John Lithgow and released by New Video, it brings together six beloved stories in one collection.
