Baby Einstein: Meet the Orchestra – First Instruments is a 2006 animated educational program directed by Jim Janicek that introduces young children to orchestral instruments. Using bright visuals, quick pacing, and minimal narration, the program presents brass, woodwind, string, and percussion instruments organized by section. Each instrument is shown on screen with its name spoken aloud, followed by a demonstration of its sound and animated performances by characters, puppets, and real children and adults playing the instruments. The program concludes by combining instruments to perform classical pieces.
