Anastasia is a 1997 animated musical adventure from Twentieth Century Fox directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. When an orphan girl with only fragmented memories of her past is discovered, two Russian con men named Dimitri and Vladimir see an opportunity to claim a reward by passing her off as the missing Grand Duchess Anastasia. The trio embarks on a journey to Paris to reunite the young woman with her grandmother, the Dowager Empress. Their plans grow complicated when Grigori Rasputin, a vengeful mystic bent on destroying the Romanov family, pursues them with dark intentions. Meg Ryan voices Anastasia, while John Cusack and Kelsey Grammer play the charming schemers, with Christopher Lloyd as the menacing villain.
