All Dogs Go to Heaven is a 1989 animated musical adventure directed by Don Bluth, Gary Goldman, and Dan Kuenster. The film follows Charlie, a dog who runs a casino until his criminal rival Carface murders him. Rather than accept his place in heaven, Charlie escapes back to Earth seeking revenge. He reconnects with his old partner Itchy and befriends Anne-Marie, a young orphan girl with a special ability to communicate with animals. As Charlie and Anne-Marie grow closer, their friendship is tested by Charlie’s desire for vengeance and his questionable moral choices, while the stakes of his revenge plot threaten everyone around him.
