A Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan is a 1996 concert film directed by Gary Menotti that honors the legacy of blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan following his death in 1990. The film features live performances from blues legends including B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John, and Jimmie Vaughan, Stevie’s brother. These renowned musicians perform selections from Vaughan’s catalog, backed by either his former band Double Trouble or the Tilt-a-Whirl Band, celebrating his profound influence on contemporary blues and rock music.

This DVD release from KLRU Austin runs 80 minutes and is not rated. The performances showcase the muscular guitar work and deep blues sensibility that defined Vaughan’s career, with each artist bringing their own interpretation to his songbook. A single-disc presentation of this concert tribute makes for an excellent addition to any blues collection, and you can own this used copy at a fraction of the original retail price.
