A Night with Lou Reed is a 1983 concert film documenting the former Velvet Underground frontman performing at the Bottom Line in New York City. Backed by guitarist Robert Quine, bassist Fernando Saunders, and drummer Fred Maher, Reed delivers a career-spanning set that moves from early material like “I’m Waiting for the Man” through his solo work. The performance captures him tackling signature songs including “Walk on the Wild Side,” “White Light/White Heat,” and “Rock and Roll,” along with deeper cuts such as “Kill Your Sons” and “Waves of Fear.” Directed by Clark Santee and shot with clear cinematography, the concert showcases Reed’s command of the stage and the tight musicianship of his ensemble.

This is a single-disc DVD presentation running 60 minutes, rated 7.7 on IMDb. The film preserves an intimate look at Reed during a significant moment in his career, with bonus material including post-show remarks from the artist. Own this concert performance on physical media at a used price.
