Nora Ephron directed this 1998 romantic comedy about two New York booksellers caught in an unlikely love story. Meg Ryan plays Kathleen Kelly, who runs a small independent bookshop, while Tom Hanks is Joe Fox, the ruthless owner of a massive corporate chain threatening to put her out of business. When they meet anonymously online, the two strike up a genuine connection through email, unaware they are actually fierce competitors in the real world. As their digital romance deepens, Joe discovers the woman he’s fallen for is his sworn enemy, forcing him to navigate the tension between his online feelings and real-world animosity.
Warner Bros. released this PG-rated film on a single DVD disc with a runtime of 119 minutes. Greg Kinnear also stars in the supporting cast. This deluxe edition gives you a chance to revisit a witty exploration of love and business in the early internet era without the cost of a new copy.
