Cassandra Peterson, the woman behind the iconic character Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, shares her remarkable life story on this audiobook. Born in 1953, Peterson survived a severe childhood accident that left her with burns covering much of her body, an experience that shaped her love of horror and the macabre. Her journey took her from Las Vegas performer at seventeen to encounters with entertainment legends like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, then to Europe where she sang with an Italian pop band, before eventually landing in Los Angeles where she trained with The Groundlings comedy troupe alongside Phil Hartman and Paul Reubens.

This CD audiobook features Peterson’s candid recounting of her unconventional path to becoming the Queen of Halloween. Get the full story of her wild life in this used copy.
