Year One is a 2010 compilation from The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion that gathers the band’s earliest recorded material from 1991. Produced by Steve Albini and Kramer, this collection pulls together tracks from the bootleg LP A Reverse Willie Horton, the self-titled Caroline Album, the German-only release Crypt Style, and the History of Sex EP on Clawfist Records, offering the most comprehensive overview of JSBX’s raw beginnings ever assembled.

This single CD contains 38 tracks showcasing the band’s primal rock sound during their formative years. A used copy gives you access to this essential document of the group’s origins at a fraction of retail cost.
