Wild is a 2014 drama directed by Jean-Marc Vallee and based on Cheryl Strayed’s memoir, adapted for the screen by Nick Hornby. After losing her mother and watching her marriage fall apart, a woman spirals into years of reckless behavior before making a bold decision to change course. With no hiking experience to speak of, she sets out alone on a thousand-mile trek along the Pacific Crest Trail, determined to find healing and rebuild herself through the physical and emotional challenges of the wilderness.
