CD Details
White Horses is a 2001 folk album by William Pint and Felicia Dale exploring maritime traditions from across the Atlantic. The duo performs work songs and sea shanties drawn from English, Irish, German, French, West Indian, and American seafaring cultures, all united by their connection to the ocean. Pint and Dale bring their own interpretation to these traditional pieces, blending guitar, hurdy-gurdy, mandolin, and other instruments into an energetic take on folk music that feels both rooted in history and distinctly contemporary.
This CD features ten tracks including “Cape Cod Girls,” “Johnny Todd,” “Jack The Jolly Tar,” and the title track “White Horses (Are Calling Me).” The album emphasizes acoustic instrumentation, with Dale’s distinctive hurdy-gurdy work and the pair’s clear, layered harmonies creating an unconventional yet captivating sound. Grab this used copy and experience a fresh approach to traditional sea music.
