When in Rome is a 2010 romantic comedy directed by Mark Steven Johnson and written by David Diamond and David Weissman. Kristen Bell stars as an ambitious New Yorker who travels to Rome and impulsively removes coins from the city’s legendary fountain of love. Her actions trigger an unexpected consequence: the men who originally tossed those coins suddenly become infatuated with her. Among her new admirers are a sausage magnate played by Danny DeVito, a street magician portrayed by Jon Heder, and a charming reporter brought to life by Josh Duhamel. As various suitors vie for her attention, she must determine whether any of them offer genuine affection or if she is merely caught in the fountain’s magic.
