Weeds is a 2005 Showtime comedy-drama created by Jenji Kohan and directed by Arlene Sanford, Brian Dannelly, and Burr Steers. Starring Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin, the series follows a suburban widow who begins dealing marijuana to support her two sons after her husband’s death leaves her financially desperate. Set in the affluent Southern California community of Agrestic, the show blends dark satire with crime and domestic drama as Nancy navigates her new life as a drug dealer while maintaining her facade as a typical suburban mother, complete with PTA meetings and soccer games. Kevin Nealon and Elizabeth Perkins round out the cast as her neighbors caught up in her world.

This is a single-disc Blu-ray release from Showtime Networks with a TV-MA rating and approximately five hours of runtime for the complete first season. The darkly irreverent comedy-drama earned strong critical reception and launched a successful run for the network.
