Way Down In The Rust Bucket documents a live performance by Neil Young and Crazy Horse recorded on November 13, 1990, at The Catalyst, a small venue in Santa Cruz, California. The marathon show stretched over three hours across three sets, capturing the band in peak form playing material from their then-recent album Ragged Glory alongside classic tracks. The concert marked the first live performances of several Ragged Glory songs and notably featured the debut live performance of “Danger Bird,” a track from 1975’s Zuma that had never been played live in the 15 years since its release.

This CD edition contains two discs with ten tracks spanning the evening’s performances, including “Country Home,” “Surfer Joe And Moe The Sleaze,” “Love To Burn,” “Days That Used To Be,” “Bite The Bullet,” “Cinnamon Girl,” “Farmer John,” “Over And Over,” “Danger Bird,” and “Don’t Cry No Tears.” Released in February 2021 as part of Neil Young’s Performance Series, this used copy lets you own a piece of rock history at a fraction of retail.
