Valley in the Clouds is a 1987 electronic jazz album by multi-instrumentalist David Arkenstone. Released on the Narada Mystique label, this nine-track work blends ambient synthesizer textures with new age sensibilities to create an expansive sonic landscape. Arkenstone composed the album with a sense of adventurous spirit, drawing inspiration from the idea of interstellar travel and exploration. Tracks like “Ancient Legend” and “Stepping Stars” establish the album’s mystical-journey theme from the start, while pieces such as “Princess,” “Eastern Dream,” and “Night Wind” showcase the luminous and gently percussive qualities that define the collection. The album spans approximately 40 minutes and invites listeners to engage their imagination on a grand scale.

This CD edition features all nine compositions, including “Rain,” “Sun Girl,” and “Lost Temple.” Owning this used copy lets you experience Arkenstone’s meticulously crafted musical voyage at a fraction of the original retail cost.
