Released in 1966, The Ugly Dachshund is a Disney comedy directed by Norman Tokar that follows the chaos that ensues when a Great Dane puppy raised alongside a litter of dachshunds grows up believing it is one of them. Dean Jones and Suzanne Pleshette star as a married couple whose household becomes a disaster zone as their massive dog, convinced of its diminutive identity, causes mayhem throughout their home. The film features character actor Charles Ruggles alongside Jones and Pleshette in this good-natured family comedy that balances slapstick humor with genuine domestic warmth.

This is a single-disc DVD release from Buena Vista Distribution Company, running 93 minutes and rated Approved. The film is presented in full frame format with English audio. A used copy gives you a chance to own this quirky piece of Disney live-action comedy history at a fraction of retail cost.
