Twister is a 1997 action thriller directed by Jan de Bont that follows a team of storm chasers pursuing one of the most violent tornado systems to hit America’s Tornado Alley in decades. Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton star as scientists determined to launch electronic sensors into the heart of these massive storms, hoping to gather critical data that could lead to a better warning system for future twisters.
