Trouble with the Curve is a 2012 sports drama directed by Robert Lorenz and starring Clint Eastwood as Gus Lobel, a veteran baseball scout whose eyesight is deteriorating. Facing pressure to retire from his team, Gus pushes for one final scouting assignment to prove he still has what it takes. His estranged daughter Mickey, played by Amy Adams, agrees to accompany him to North Carolina to keep an eye on him as his vision fails. During the assignment, Mickey seeks answers about why her father pushed her away years ago, while Gus reconnects with Johnny, a former prospect he once scouted who is now a scout himself, played by Justin Timberlake. As Mickey and Johnny develop feelings for each other, Gus must confront both his professional doubts and personal regrets.
