Ray LaMontagne’s debut album Trouble is a folk-rock collection that showcases the singer-songwriter’s distinctive raspy voice and introspective songwriting. Released on Sony Legacy, the album features ten tracks of acoustic arrangements exploring themes of love and life’s struggles. Songs like the title track, “Shelter,” and “Hold You In My Arms” demonstrate LaMontagne’s gift for crafting emotionally resonant melodies with simple, mournful lyrics reminiscent of classic country ballads.

This CD was produced by Ethan Johns, known for his work in alt-country and Americana music. The reserved production and intimate arrangements make it ideal for quiet listening during reflective moments. Grab this used copy and experience a debut album that captures the soul of a fully formed artist.
